? Will there be counseling for Admission to Professional Courses (KEAM 2010)?
= There is no face to face counseling. The allotment is made through the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) in which options are to be registered (filed) online through the website (www.cee.kerala.gov.in)
? When will the allotment start?
= Allotment is expected to start as per schedule published in the prospectus. Details of allotment process such as opening of web site and option registration, etc., will be notified in due course.
? Where shall we know the details of the colleges?
= The details of colleges which participated in the Allotment process during the year 2009 is available in the link “Information on Professional Colleges” in www.cee-kerala.org. The list is not complete. The list will be finalized before commencement of CAP-2010.
? What are the types of colleges included in the allotment process?
= a. Government/Aided Colleges (G)
b. Government Controlled Self Financing Colleges (N) [coming under IHRD, CAPE, LBS, CCE, Universities and KSRTC]
c. Private Self Financing Colleges (S)
? How can I know the possibility of getting allotment to a course/college based on my rank?
= Details of Last Rank of KEAM 2009 are available in cee-kerala.org. There will be variations depending on variables like preferences of candidates, availability of seats etc.
? What are the requirements for registering options?
= a. Roll No.
b. Application No.
c. Key No. (will be provided to the candidates along with score sheet)
d. A pass word to be set by the student
? Where can I get the Key No. ?
= The Key No. will be printed in the score card of each candidate. The candidate should detach the portion containing Key No. and should not disclose the Key No. to any body to prevent misuse.
? What should I do if I don't get the score card and Key No.?
= There will be Option Facilitation Centres (OFC) across the State. The list of OFC's will be available during the Centralized Allotment Process in the web site. Candidate will have to report in person and shall prove their identity to get the Key No.
? How can I register options?
= Options can be registered only through web site www.cee.kerala.gov.in for which internet facility is essential. Candidates who do not have access to internet facility can approach Option Facilitation Centres and Help Desks, which will be functioning during the days of option registration.
? What is the difference between Option Facilitation Centres (OFC) and Help Desks (HD)?
= Internet facility for option registration will be available in both OFCs and HDs. In case the candidate lost his Key No. or forgot his password he/she has to approach the faculty in-charge of Option Facilitation Centre.
? Should I register options separately for Medical & Engineering courses?
= Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) is a single window system. There will not be provision for filing option Number separately for Medical & Engineering courses. Option of Engineering and Medical courses can be mixed and filed depending on the preference of the candidate.
? What are the factors to be considered for selecting a College/Course?
= a. Fee applicable to the college/Course
b. Location of the College
c. Accessibility (Rail/Road)
d. Academic achievements of the institution
e. Facilities such as Hostel, Mess, Laboratory, Faculty etc.
f. Pass percentage & Placement Records for previous years.
