? Where can I purchase the application forms for KEAM?

= Forms are available for purchase only through selected Post Offices within and outside Kerala, the list of which is provided in our site.

? Downloaded application is not having the OMR Data sheet. Whether the downloaded application form is equivalent in all respects to those available through the sales centres.

= Downloaded application form is exclusively meant for candidates who do not have claim for reservation under any category. The application has been designed accordingly. A Computer Data Sheet is provided in lieu of the OMR Data sheet. Candidates located at distant places (say candidates residing outside Kerala/abroad) can utilize the downloaded format provided they do not have any claim for any reservation. Hence candidates should ensure that they are not eligible for any reservation before applying in the downloaded application. However candidates who have any claim for reservation should apply in the prescribed application form available through the sales centres.

? Can you list all the exam centers available outside India.

= DUBAI is the only centre outside INDIA, at present.

? If I am opting DUBAI as my centre, what will the total amount payable by me?

= A total amount of Rs.7700/- (which includes the application fee of Rs.700/-) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at State Bank of India / State Bank of Travancore,  Thiruvananthapuram.

? I wish to apply for KEAM under the NRI Quota. What am I to do?

= You may contact the Principal of the respective college to which you are seeking admission under NRI quota for details.

? I have already dispatched my application. But now I find that my application is incomplete in some respects. Can I come down to your office and rectify the defects?

= No chance will be given to incorporate any details or rectify the defects once the application is received in our office.

? I forgot to submit some certificates along with my application, Will it be accepted if I were to send it by post or whether I should submit the same at your office personally?

= Documents / Certificates furnished after submission of application will not be entertained.

? I have used pen instead of pencil to fill in the OMR Data Sheet. Will there be any problem? Whether my application will be rejected? Should I send a fresh application form? Please advice.

= Your application will not be rejected on this account. Sending of more than one application will lead to rejection of all.

? I have used ball point pen instead of black ink pen to fill up the OMR Data Sheet? Will it be rejected?

= Your application will not be rejected for this reason alone.

? I have used blue color ink instead of black color ink to fill in my application? Will it be rejected?

= Your application will not be rejected.

? The photograph pasted in the OMR Data Sheet was a bit larger than the box provided for it even though it was instructed that it should not exceed the box. Please advice.

= The maximum size of the photograph can be up to 4cm x 5cm so that it will not overlap any other items.

? It has come to my notice that the Government has decided to reserve 2 seats for Scouts/Guides candidates. What should I do in order to avail this reservation?

= Please attach a letter requesting to consider you under this category along with the application form. Also attach copy of all documents to establish your claim.

? I would like to know whether both of my parents should be from the backward community in order to avail the benefits given to a child of inter-caste married couple.

= Need not.  Refer to the prospectus.

? What is meant by corroborative evidence?

= A supporting document furnished as additional evidence to strengthen or to make certain a claim.

? I belong to 'LATIN CATHOLIC OTHER THAN ANGLO INDIAN (LCOAI)' community. But the name of community was stated only as 'LATIN CATHOLIC (LC)' in my community certificate. But now I could find that the claim under LCOAI will not be allowed if the community certificate state only as LC. Will I loose my claim?

= Mere mentioning as 'Latin Catholic' alone will not entitle a candidate for reservation under the LCOAI reservation. Hence you have to ensure that the entry regarding the name of community in the community certificate is correctly and fully mentioned as 'Latin Catholic other than Anglo Indian'. Please note that every year many candidates stand to loose their claim under LCOAI reservation by ignoring this fact.
